I have been bringing my daughter, who has Down syndrome to see Dr. Naslenas, Nicole and her awesome team for three years and it is definitely worth the one hour drive from Waterdown. My daughter was previously petrified of going to the dentist, so we weren’t sure whether we would ever be able to address her orthodontic needs. Dr. Sky and Nicole agreed to see her weekly for ten visits. They and the team have been amazing at helping my daughter to overcome her fears and she was able to get the expander placed within six weeks (& not the 10 or more we expected).
After the expander, they were able to do the braces. I can’t say enough about how encouraging and patient they have been. And my daughter is so proud of herself for overcoming this fear, so this experience has improved her confidence as well as her oral health!! I am extremely grateful that both Dr. Sky and Nicole were willing to invest the extra time and care needed to help my daughter as we had previously been told that it couldn’t be done by another orthodontist.
